On the south side of the westernmost point of the park, on a Toronto Field
Naturalists walk led by Doug Paton, Carol Sellers pointed out a
Yellow-breasted Chat to the delight of the other 15 or so people on the walk
at 11:30 this morning, eclipsing the Ruddy Duck seen off the western tip as
the best bird of the walk. The chat was actively feeding on Euonomys
(Wahoo/Burning bush) fruit for part of the time.
