Hi All
Just wanted to let everyone know that the selasphorus hummingbirds species
reported by Paul Pratt yesterday is still present today. I popped out to
Kingsville around noon today and within five minutes of arriving at 95 Queen
Street, I was able to watch the bird pop in and out of the feeder several
times over a 15 minute period. It seemed completely unphased by the
excavation going on near the feeder and I was able to get really great
looks. Finally, a rare bird in the area that I'm actually free from all
other duties to get out and see!
I will be working at the park tomorrow - if anyone sees the hummingbird
tomorrow, feel free to give me a call - 519-322-5700 x10. I'll do my best
to keep up to date on the sightings.
Queen St is located in the town of Kingsville - as Paul indicated, it run
north and south and is one block west of Division Road, off of Cty Rd 20
(Main Street).
Good birding everyone!
