[Ontbirds]Pine Grosbeaks(Guelph) & Gray Partridges (Brantford)

After searching in vain for the Bohemian Waxwings in Guelph today (later I learned found on College St. by Doug Hannah), we did see about 40 Pine Grosbeaks thanks to Sam Berone. These birds were well west of the Arboretum essentially behind the new Canadian Tire store in a long row of crab-apple trees.

We then drove to the Brantford airport where we located the four Gray Partridge first found by Frank Pinilla a few days ago. These birds were at the SE intersection of Airport Rd. and York St foraging on the ground at the NW corner of a commercial building with a sign marking the business as "Emerson". The four birds were remarkably close being no more than 50 feet away from my car.

DIRECTIONS for the PARTRIDGE:
Brantford Airport - from Hwy 403 just west of Brantford, exit at Rest Acres Rd (Hwy 24), head south to Colborne Rd (Hwy 2) and turn left/east.  Watch the fields all around here as the partridge range about.  The airport terminal is north of Colborne Rd, turn at York Rd and look all around this area, follow to the terminal where I had the birds today

DIRECTIONS for the PINE GROSBEAKS:
Take the 401 to Hwy 6 north to Stone Rd. Go west to the fire hall and the new Canadian Tire Store. There is a road between these two buildings. Go north into a parking area after twisting slightly to the west. You will find a long row of Crab-apple trees full of fruit within this area. More specific directions to these trees is difficult. . About 40 to 50 Pine Grosbeaks were feasting on the berries in these trees.
