Today at 2:15PM there was a very white Snowy Owl in the corn stubble N/E =
of
the intersection of Hwy 42 (north\south road 1st East of Bragg Rd) and
Concession 4 which runs EAST from Hwy 42. The owl was surprisingly easy =
to
spot in the bright sunlight, and appeared much whiter than the snow =
which
looks bluish.

The Pine Grosbeaks (45 or more) continue to feed in the crab apples =
north of
Concession St E and east of Bragg Rd.
They are often very quietly sitting in the trees about 80 yards north of =
the
road. Extremely easy to photograph.
=20
Every 20 minutes or so they get up and fly around, or if the =
Sharp-shinned
hawk makes a pass, they may disappear for half an hour or more.
There are often many Redpolls in the orchard, but I=92ve not seen any =
Hoary
Redpolls.
