Hello Ont. Birders
Today just after 12.30pm. one of the local PEREGRINES launched from
the Bluewater Bridge and going into a very fast shallow dive, took a
Rock Dove (Domestic.) from the flock circling the water tower on the
Michigan side. After 'controlling' the pigeon it returned to under
the bridge to eat.
One reaches the parking lot under the bridge by leaving the 402 at
the Front St exit and turn Left. Continue to the lights at the end
and turn Left. At the River turn Rt into the Car park and just look
UP at the brid The Female likes to perch on the ladder structure.
A long telephoto lens is needed to get anything like a satisfactory
image, and moening is best for the light.
As a PS, there have been HARLEQUINS here recently.
Good Birding.
