Today, 7 January, the flock of 12 Pine Grosbeaks were feeding on the
buds of several tall tall maple trees. Hope this makes the Dunlop
Observatory a more reliable site for those who still wish to see Pine
   Grosbeaks this winter.

There are 3 very tall bare mature trees on the front lawn of the stone
observatory building, the row of trees are on the Right side of the
building if you park facing it at the parking lot, the birds could be
seen from the comfort of your car.

David Dunlop Observatory is in Richmond Hill, go north along Bayview
Ave and pass 16th Ave, just before Weldrick Road is Hillsview Road on
the west/left side, go down Hillsview to the end, the gate entrance is
on the left hand side. The Observatory gate is open on week-days from
9 am to 4 pm, parking inside the ground is open to public.
