The Townsend's Solitaire was observed today, Thursday January 10, not
tomorrow Friday, January 11.

Apologies to those who were planning to wait until tomorrow to see the bird.

Ross Snider and James Holdsworth called at 8:50 a.m. Friday January
11 to say they were watching a Townsend's Solitaire flitting about
from tree top to tree top at the corner of McPherson Line and Talbot
Line (Hwy 3). The closest 911 address is 19936 Talbot Line which is
just east of the intersection on the north side of Hwy # 3. McPherson
Line forms the border line between Elgin County and Chatham-Kent.

Directions:
If coming from the east exit Hwy 401 at the Rodney exit (exit # 129)
and drive south on Furnival Road to Hwy # 3. Drive west on Hwy # 3
about 7 km to the intersection.

If coming from the west, follow Hwy # 3, or, if coming along the 401,
exit the 401 at exit # 117 and follow Bury Road through Highgate to
Hwy # 3. Turn east on Hwy # 3 and drive about 8 km east to the intersection.
