The female Harlequin was still present in the same area above the Falls at
3:00 PM this afternoon (1/13). My wife first spotted it behind the rocks
where the "Y" shaped tree trunk is located. We then observed the Harlequin
swimming and diving between the rocks. It also walked out of the water to
stand on the sloping rock in the same area.

In addition, we observed a pair of Red-breasted Nuthatches in the Dufferin
Islands Nature Area.

Directions: After passing the Falls while travelling south on the Niagara
Parkway, park in either the Greenhouse lot or Dufferin Islands parking area.
Both on the right. Viewing area is directly across from Dufferin Islands
and east of the old Hydro building.
