Hello Ontbirders
Yesterday, February 13th spent a few hours birding along the Ottawa
River in the afternoon. There was still 1 female Harlequin Duck and 1 female
Barrow's Goldeneye between Bate Island and the north end of the Champlain
Bridge. At Deschenes Rapids there were 3 Bufflehead and a Merlin was
observed flying over the rapids. Also had a flock of 30+ Bohemian Waxwings.
At the Arboretum there was a flock of 16 Pine Grosbeaks and 45+ Bohemian
Waxwings. The Townsend's Solitaire was still present at 7 Millbrook Cres.
Along Huntmar Road, 2 Northern Shrikes were found between Richardson Side
Road and Old Carp Road. If you require additional information, please email
me privately.
                                                good birding, Bruce
