Please excuse my flippant lack of directions to Fort Erie. Here again are Marcia Jacklin's really good directions:

Directions: QEW to Fort Erie, exit at Central Avenue, turn right on Central; right on Lakeshore, drive about 2 km to Adelaide St and use the viewing area.

If you go a couple more blocks past Adelaide, there is a parking area and a great lakeside walkway park. This is where the Tundra Swans flew onto the ice  (singing) a couple hundred metres out.
