How am I supposed to get any work done? I'm trying to write a book and these darn birds keep distracting me!!!!

A female/immature Merlin landed in a maple outside my den window today. After about 10 minutes it was spotted by the resident Cooper's Hawks who did not appreciate the visit and made it known.

Also saw a Northern Shrike in North Ajax and 5 Evening Grosbeaks north of Cty Rd 23 on Balsam Rd. (Durham Region) today.
