Spring Birders: A male Indigo Bunting was spotted on the niger tube, Friday April 25th at 7:00 P.M. at Monarch Landing, Port Burwell. Again on same feeder 8:25 A.M. this morning . TWO males were on the same feeder at 12:20 P.M. Cloudy, windy,(S-W, 10 to 20 km/hr) 12C. This sighting is perhaps a little early for the species but consistent with the current bloom sequence of local native and non-native flora. Ron Allensen
Directions: Monarch Landing is about a mile east of Port Burwell on the lake road. Port Burwell is located on lake Erie at the southern terminus of Hiway 19. Take Ingersol exit south from the 401.
