Hello Everyone,
Lamoine Point was a hive of avian activity today. Highlights include:
5 Evening Grosbeaks,
3 Eastern Towhees (my personal favourites)
1 Palm Warbler
4+ Pine warblers
1 Yellow warbler
Yellow-rumped warblers (many)
1 Solitary Vireo
3 Brown Thrashers
1 Cooper's hawk
1 Field Sparrow
Pileated Woodpeckers (calling)
I do not hear many reports from this area so I thought I would put my
two cents in.
Happy Migration!!
Jon
Directions:
Take any street in Kingston down to King St (which becomes Front) at
Days Rd. and follow westward past Bayridge Rd. Eventually you will
find the parking lot. Best action is if you follow the main trail
straight out along the airport until you reach the forest. Follow
until you reach another parking lot and just follow your ears!
