Greetings all,

Bill Gilmour and I saw a Tufted Titmouse at the Presqu'ile lighthouse
this morning, in company with 2 chickadees. From the look of it I
think it is a different bird than the one a few weeks ago. This bird
has less colour on the flanks and perhaps a smaller black forehead
patch. I also checked to see if yesterday's Western Sandpiper was
still present and as of 645 a.m. there were no shorebirds seen on the
beach, but they could be on Gull Island so it might be worth a look
anyway.

Cheers,

Doug McRae

Directions: Presqu'ile is located south of Brighton on the shore of
Lake Ontario. From Hwy 401 take the Brighton exit and head south
into town, then follow signs to the Park. The best beach access for
the sandpiper is the Owen Point Trail parking lot (formerly Beach 4),
and for the lighthouse, take the Park one way loop to the lighthouse/
Visitor Centre, located at the east tip of the peninsula.
